Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc: Which Cu Chi Tunnels?
Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc: what each Cu Chi tunnels site has, how far each is from Ho Chi Minh City, the fees, and which tours go to which site.
Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc are the two sites where the Cu Chi tunnels are shown to visitors, 12.3 km apart by road along the Saigon River and run by one managing body under one fee list. Ben Dinh is nearer the city, 43.7 km by road from Ben Thanh Market; Ben Duoc, 57.5 km, adds the memorial temple and a reconstructed liberated-zone village. Vietnam Adventure Tours’ Cu Chi Tunnels Ben Duoc Tour | Less-Crowded & Max 12 People goes to Ben Duoc with the entry ticket, from $18 in current promotion (usually $22) a person (checked November 2026), with 753 reviews.

The short answer
Choose Ben Duoc if you want more than the tunnels: it was the underground command base of the Saigon-Cho Lon-Gia Dinh military region, and the memorial temple and the liberated-zone reconstruction are there too. The tours that name it run in small groups, for a few dollars more. Choose Ben Dinh if you want the shorter drive and the classic half day: it was the Cu Chi district base, with the tunnel under Provincial Road 15 and a wrecked M41 tank. Both have the film, the tunnels, the traps and the shooting range, and the same fees.

Where the two sites are

Ben Dinh is in Ben Dinh hamlet, Nhuan Duc commune, on Provincial Road 15. Ben Duoc is in Phu Hiep hamlet, An Nhon Tay commune, where the historic site has its head office. From Ben Thanh Market it is 43.7 km by road to Ben Dinh and 57.5 km to Ben Duoc, and 12.3 km by road between the two.

The memorial temple and the liberated zone
The Ben Duoc Martyrs’ Memorial Temple stands in 7 ha of grounds. Building began on 19 May 1993 and the first phase opened on 19 December 1995; its nine-storey, 39 m tower carries 45,666 names of those who died. It is a place of remembrance: visit it quietly.
The liberated-zone reconstruction, also at Ben Duoc, covers 38.5 ha and opened in 2003. It shows village life and fighting in the liberated zone between 1961 and 1972, with a sand table and a 3D film about Operation Cedar Falls, the US operation of January 1967. It has its own ticket, 85,000 VND a person (November 2026); check whether your tour includes it.

Which tours go where
Most listings do not name the site. These do:

| Hana Tourist, Ben Duoc, group of up to 10 | Ben Duoc |
| Viet Fun Travel, Ba Den Mountain, the Cao Dai Holy See and Cu Chi | Ben Duoc, with the memorial temple |
| Vietnam Adventure Tours, Ben Duoc tour on Viator | Ben Duoc |
| Indochina Heritage Travel, small group on Viator | Not named on the listing |
| Vietnam Adventure Tours, half day on Viator | Ben Dinh on the standard group of up to 25; Ben Duoc on the small-group, VIP and private options |
The last one shows the price difference between the two. Its GetYourGuide half day, the tour this site follows, does not name its site; ask the operator when you book if it matters to you.
